General Conference
My mom got me and Andy tickets to General Conference last week. We attended the Sunday morning session. After conference we walked around the center and were looking at all of the framed paintings displayed throughout the conference center. After looking for a mere 15 or 20 minutes someone came up to us and said hello. That someone was our stake president from our Half Moon Bay ward in California!! It was so nice talking with him and his wife. He said he was just thinking about us just the other day.
Andy and I have been enjoying this nice warm spring weather. We got ourselves some tennis rackets and Andy's been teaching me how to play. We've played doubles a few times with Jeremy and Nicole, which is fun. Andy and I are doing really well and are planning a trip to Moab next weekend.

Sister date
My sister Allyson came and stayed with us over the weekend. Andy had an art conference in Salt Lake so we decided to tour Temple Square and shop at the City Creek Mall. Here are a few pictures from her stay.

Birthday number 23
I had a great day in my birthday! I went to my photography class, to the temple, took a long nap, went to dinner with my family, and made a couple birthday wishes!! I really enjoyed having my family visit and loved receiving calls and messages! Aren't birthdays so fun? I feel like a kid all day. It's great! I received this card from my in laws and it just tickled me! I feel so blessed to have married into such a wonderful family and am so grateful for my sweet family also!

DIY: Magnets
This project has been sitting on my counter for a couple weeks now, so I figured I'd finish it today! I saw these cute magnets at Urban Outfitters, but wanted to try to make them myself.
1) Supplies: Find an assortment of animals of your choice. Buy any gold spray paint of your choice. I bought Krylon brand (the lady at Hobby Lobby said the glitter gold spray paint was globby) just FYI. Purchase 2 boxes of craft magnets (each with 6 in a box). Glue gun/sticks
2) Start by placing animals on newspaper. Shake spray paint for about 2 minutes then spray animals. Let dry. Repeat this step several times until animals are coated evenly with the paint.
3) This step is pretty hard and only should be done this way if you don't have an electric hot knife, which I didn't so... Find two old knifes that you don't care about. Place knives on stove top for a couple minutes until the tips are red hot. Carefully cut animals in half with hot knife. Note: your home will smell of melted plastic and isn't the loveliest smell).
4) After all animals have been cut in half, spray paint the inside of the animals and the parts that were burned from the hot knife. Literally. :)
5) After completely dry, using hot glue gun place a dot of glue in the center of the animals front half and back end. Glue on magnet.
6) So easy and so cute!
